We have no set closing time as we have many factors to take in to consideration so please come before 15:00 to guarantee a trip or call us on 07850947618 before taking a trip down to us. 

 

How can we get the most up to date information ?

Please look at our social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram or better yet call us on 07850947618. We will post if we have private hire bookings or if unfortunately on the rare occasion we suffer a mechanical issue. We do not want any of our valued customers having a wasted trip. Please also check our social media stories as we up date these daily throughout busy periods. You can whatsapp or call us and we will always answer or get back to you asap. Emails and direct messages on social media are not always monitored so if you need a urgent answer please call us.

Boarding Instructions - PLEASE READ! 

. The back of your ticket has your trip time.

. Do not go through the gate until you are called by a member of staff with a microphone. 

. Be at at the gate no later than 5 minutes before your trip. 

. Leave plenty of time for toilet trips and to get coffees and water. The long queues will make you late. 

. Please do not be late as other people are also booked on this trip. 

. We give NO REFUNDS for missed trips and we can not guarantee you a space on the next trip.

Do you run in the rain?

We aim to run every day. Our season is 6/7 months so we want to make sure we are open as much as possible. The wind is our main issue as we can not run in stormy conditions. Please always call to check on 07850947618 or send us a message! We would rather the phone ring off the hook than people travel to be disappointed. Sometimes we have mechanical issues that can not be avoided and we can not predict so again we can not stress enough to call to avoid disappointment on 07850947618. You can also whatsapp or facebook message us. We will always answer or get back to you asap!

Opening Times ? 

We open between 10am & 10.30am and trips start at 10.30am & 11:00am. We have no set closing time as this changes each day depending on many factors such as weather and how busy we are however we recommend coming between 10am - 3pm to guarantee you get a trip with us. If you are coming later please call before to check we are still running to avoid disappointment. Running times can change depending on weather and staffing. If you want to guarantee a trip then earlier in the day is what we recommend.

Do you have a minimum amount of people required to run a trip ? 

Yes we do. For the Puffin Billi River Cruise its a minimum of 2 adults. 

For our Black Puffin Pirate Experience its a minimum of 2 adults & 1 child.

We will not run the Black Puffin Pirate Trip with 1 adult & 1 child or 1 adult and 2 children.

Do you go to the Isle of Wight ?

Unfortunately not. Please contact Coral Star or Fluid Water Taxi or or All Decked Out Charter or Double Six Charters for all your island needs!

 

Can you buy tickets online ?

No unfortunately not. All tickets are purchased at the Kiosk on the quay on the day you wish to take a trip unless you have pre booked a private hire over the phone or via email. 

 

Can you pre book ? 

Unfortunately not as we run to a very tight schedule the boats leave on the hour and every half an hour so we do not hold tickets back but you will be able to get the next trip. We do however take bookings for all private hire. Please call 07850947618 or email to book. 

 

What happens if I miss my time slot?

We encourage all guest to be ready to board their trip a minimum of 5 mins before departure as in busy periods we have full boats so you will not be able to get on the next trip or provide you with a refund for the trip you have missed.

 

How long are your trips? 

30 minutes approximately unless hired privately when we can then offer up to an hour.

 

Do you operate Puffin Billi Guided River Tour every day ?

The Puffin Billi guided river tour runs 7 DASY A WEEK from the 1st of April until the 30th of September. (Weather Permitting) Please always call to double check we are open on 07850947618. We do sometimes run in March and October however this is at our discretion so please call to check. We are a very small family run business so very rarely we do have to close for situations out of control but we do always keep this to a minimum where possible. 

 

When does The Black Puffin Pirate Ship Run ?  

THE PIRATE BOAT ONLY PLEASE CALL OR MESSAGE US ON 07850947618!  Also check our facebook and instragram pages for the most up to date information. 

 

Can I tip the Skipper? 

Yes you can and we are very grateful for your kind gesture however we can only except cash for tips - Thank you 

 

​Are there toilets on board?

No the boats do not have toilets on board but there are public toilets located right there on the quay.

 

Is there parking?

Parking is located at the quay on a pay display basis. It does get busy in the summer so please allow plenty of time. Alternatively try the bath road car park which is located by the royal Lymington yacht club. We can not stress enough to allow plenty of time for parking especially in peak season. It gets very busy. 

 

Do you run all year round?

Our season runs from 1st April to 30th September but there may be opportunities to open earlier or later depending on the weather and conditions. Please call to check.

 

Do I need to wear a life jacket?

No we have all life saving appliances on board in case of an emergency only.

 

Can I take my dog?

Yes dogs are welcome on board.

 

Can I eat and drink on board?

We prefer no eating on board for the comfort of all our guests and water and soft drinks are accepted. Please no hot drinks for the safety of our guests.

 

Do you go fast?

No the speed limit on the river is 4 Knots.

 

Do you see any puffins?

Unfortunately not it is just the company name and had been for over 40 years however you may see a variety of sea birds and other wildlife on the cruise. Please take a look at our social media for photos and vidoes of wildlife you do see.
